AP Intercepts Taiwan Communication

(AP) Washington, DC -- The AP has been sent a communication from Taiwan to the PRC. It reads as follows. "While we hope cross-strait relations will continue peacefully, we will take whatever actions we deem necessary to provide for our own defense. (US Government) Washington, DC -- The United States government formally denies that the anti-Castro leaflets came from America. We are also extremely offended by the accusations made by Fidel Castro and by the egregious violations of basic human rights that Castro continues to express.

More Arrests in Cuba

(AP) Havana -- The Castro Government has confirmed the arrests of a number of protesters handing out anti-castro leaflets. The government suggested to reporters that the US had printed and delivered these leaflets to reactionary right wing dissedents. Fidel Castro, in a recorded response, expressed his displeasure with the United States.

In order to create such a program, the Chinese government allocates the Yuan equivalent of twenty million US dollars for the expansion of ventures in the tourism business of the region. Taiwan Tests Cruise Missile

(Reuters) Taipei -- Taiwan has tested a cruise missile with a range of 1000km, which puts Shanghai and Beijing in their radius. The missile was not armed and came to a non-violent splashdown in Taiwans nautical territory north of Taipai.

(US Government) Washington DC -- The American government would like to recognize that nine of the twelve people arrested as a result of the bombings that took place in Cuba are American citizens. They were in Cuba without American government permission contrary to Raul CastroÕs accusation that they are spies or there as a part of an operation to overthrow the Cuban government. Those citizens were in Cuba of their own free will.

(AP) Urumqi -- The East Independence Movement broadcasted the following message early this morning: "The people of East Turkestan have for too long been chained under Communist oppression. The fight for our freedom has begun. Recently we struck the imperialistic Red Army, wounding many. Today we killed fifty in an attack against the Urumqi tax building. We will continue to strike until our nation is free." So far no word from China on the validity of these claims. Only the first strike has been confirmed by Central Chinese Television.

Castro Expresses Rage at American "Spies"

(AP) Havana -- Raul Castro fumed at a rally this morning, describing the 12 captives, especially the 9 Americans, as "spies and dangerous scum". Raul has revised the numbers of the previous day; the United States government has yet to confirm the citizenship status of these individuals. Castro also hinted that the 12 could be tried as spies and violent criminals.

(AP) Havana -- Raul Castro has announced the arrest of 12 conspirators in the recent bombing. They have claimed at least 4 are American citizens in Cuba to take down the government.

3 Chinese Troops Dead, 16 Injured in Convoy hit by Roadside Bomb

(Chinese Central TV) Kashi -- A cluster of roadside bombs exploded as a Peoples Liberation Army convoy travelled down a road 15 miles north of Kashi. 3 soldiers are confirmed dead and 16 wounded. No group has claimed responsibilty, and the Chinese government has not officially commentated as of now.
